We, as a family, struggle all winter to keep my youngest sons skin under control. The poor kid tends to dry up and turn red regularly if not slathered daily in GOOD lotion. If we go even a day sometimes with no treatment, scaly red patches appear and they become hard to manage. We have tried every lotion on the shelf. Most are too thin, some cost a fortune, some smell terribly; almost all of them don't get him through the day. We have to be diligent with most lotions, checking his skin throughout the day to make sure he's not getting too dry. It's a challenging thing to keep up on, especially since he is not quite at the age of being self-aware of his needs.
We were recently invited to try out Cetaphil® moisturizing cream. For starters, it's been recommended by a dermatologist to us many times. Points for that. Additionally, the texture and thickness gave me hope that it would be helpful for my son's skin. We have really tried them all and I can usually tell if they will help or not right off the bat. The test? If I can put a dollop on my fingers and it runs through them? Not going to do any good. But Cetaphil was nice and thick, full of all of the good stuff and none of the bad. The texture was lovely and it really felt like it was doing some good. Coverage lasts all day, non-greasy and the best part? No itchy little boy. He did feel "Wonderphil" about it.
The other item we were sent was the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. This was perfect to hand off to my other son, who is a couple of years older. He is in that stage where he needs to start being aware of how to care for himself, especially his face. We are trying to help him develop good hygiene skills and this was perfect for him! Why? Because it was fragrance free and did a good job. He didn't want anything to do with anything that smelled remotely girly and this product was just clean smelling. We tried it, we liked it, we will likely stick to it! :)
So there you have it, happily perfect for both of my boys and both products I would use on myself - that's always a good bonus!
Cetaphil and I are partnering together and you can win a $100 Visa gift card! To enter, leave me a comment telling me what is making you feel "wonderphil" these days! :)
