back to school {a free printable from *pen and paint* and an inexpensive teacher gift!!}

Can you believe that summer is nearly over?  Here in my neck of the woods summer seemed extra short as we experienced the coolest summer temperature wise that I can ever remember having.  It's been kind of a bummer if I'm being honest because I really love a good hot day but I am trying to focus on each day as it comes, pulling out the lovely parts and trying to look forward to the Fall and the things it brings.

One of those things is school!  Yay!  We're all excited about a year of new teachers, in a new school (for Moses) and all the school year will bring! As you may remember, we love to spoil our teachers.  Two years ago I started sending treats in to Moses' teachers once a week.  It's just been my way to say thank you for investing in my son and to show my appreciation for someone who spends so much time with my kids!

This year we will be sending in a small gift as a way to introduce ourselves and say "Happy new school year!"

I've teamed up with Lindsay from Pen & Paint to bring you a happy free printable, too!  See that cute printable up there!? It's a little mini interview you can give to your new teacher (be sure to ask her to return it) as a way to get to know how to love on her throughout the school year!
We will be sending in these water bottles filled with chocolates and personalized with their initials!
The water bottles are from Target.  I rolled the interview sheet up, tied it with a string and slipped it inside. :)  I added the vinyl letters myself.
I may mix it up a bit and send these instead.  You could fill them with coffee, tea or hot chocolate!  These fun mugs are from Joann's.  I personalized them using my Cricut and some vinyl (that you can buy in crafts stores or etsy) but you could just use a stencil and some vinyl.
You can download the FREE printable over HERE and use as much as you would like! :)

What a great way to start the school year off on the right foot, don't you think?

Many thanks to Lindsay for making our back to school gifts extra cute and personal this year! :)

This is such a cute idea! What a nice way to introduce yourself to the teacher. As a teacher, may I suggest finding non-food fillers as well? I have health restrictions that keep me from eating sweets, and I always feel guilty throwing away candy if I can't pass it off onto someone else, because then I'm wasting the gift-giver's money. Just a suggestion; I know not all teachers have health issues, but since you never know it might be a thought to consider. :)
