Today's post is from Heather from Life Made Lovely.
Let's create a mobile the whole family can enjoy!
You'll need:
-double sided paper.
i used an old book, but scrapbook paper would work, too.
-scissors
-twine, thread, or embroidery floss
-large needle
-stapler
(preferably one your grandmother-in-law borrowed from the VA hospital 40 years ago.)
Cut out 5 bird shapes,
and 10 wing shapes.
Hold 2 of the wings together.
Fold back a small portion at the front of the wings, away from each other.
Take those wings and slide them over one of your bird shapes.
Staple all three pieces together by placing a staple in front of the fold line.
Fold out the wings.
Use your threaded needle to poke a hole for hanging.
Be sure to leave enough room from the top of the bird to protect against tearing.
Repeat until you've created five birds.
Now hang them from your chandelier at various heights.
I think it's a fun way to enjoy some craftiness
every time you eat a meal with your fam!
And just for you...
a template you can use for the shapes.
Just right click to save the image to your computer
and print.
and print.
