20 Minute Crafter - Blanket Scarf

This is my go-to gift this year and it's so easy, anyone can do it! Not only that, but any lady on your list will love LOVE to have one! I've already made a few so far this season and I'm sure I'll make a few more before the year is out!

Want to make one?  You only need two things:

Sewing machine capable of straight lines.
Two yards of good quality, cozy flannel.

Totally walk the aisles of Joann or your local fabric shop for the softest most cozy flannel you can find.  It has to be yarn dyed as well, meaning it looks the same whether it's the front or the back.  Use a coupon, watch the sales.  This time of year you can get a good deal at Joann if you try!
Step one: Using the pattern of the flannel as a guide, even up the two raw ends with a rotary cutter or scissors.  You won't have to do anything to the selvedge edges but leave them alone.

Step two: sew along both ends parallel to the cuts you made, about an inch in from the ends. Trim thread.
Step three: gently begin to fray the edges a few strands at a time.
Continue until you get the look you like.
Wrap them up pretty and give them away! :) Easy, cozy, beautiful and very affordable.

While you are here, hop on over to my last post and enter to win $100 from Meow Mix! Just a comment will do! :)
