what I made for Monday {snickerdoodle bars}

Hello again this week! :) I seem to be doing quite well with my blogging goals for the year! :) If you haven't made that chicken from last week, you really must do it.  Like for real.  You will have regret if you put it off any longer. :)

As for right now, here is what I made for treats for last week!  Snickerdoodle bars!  Mmmmm...I love all things cinnamon and sugar and these were no exception.  Perfectly chewy and yummy!  Perfect with a big cup of coffee!!  Make some to share this week! :)

Snicker Doodle Bars!

2 2/3 cups  flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups packed brown sugar (I used dark)
1 cup butter at room temp (I always use salted)
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
white sugar

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan (I always use non-stick spray).

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.
In large bowl, combine butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until smooth.  Add in flour mixture until well blended.  Batter will be thick.  Spread into your greased pan.  Generously sprinkle the top with cinnamon and sugar!  The more the better! :)
Bake 25-30 minutes or until edges begin to brown and pull away from the sides.  Allow to cool for a few minutes and cut while still very warm.

Once cool the outsides will have a bit of a yummy crust and the insides will be super chewy and delicious! :)
