a little of lately for you!

I know it's been sparse here lately!  I hope you will hang in there until I get back into things.  The year started off great but then with Doug's Grandpas passing, and then me being sick for a month and kids being sick and snow days and life in general, so far 2014 has not been my favorite.

BUT my fight has not been extinguished.  I am seeing all these struggles as a sign that I am moving in a good direction, after all, the enemy doesn't throw boulders at those he isn't worried about right?

So, soon, I hope to get back into a good rhythm, but for now, here's a peek at our lives lately.  Above is a pile of St. Patrick's days hohos!  All ready to head to their new homes!
We took the boys on a mini-trip to Lego Fest in North Carolina.  It was a GREAT trip!  We made a lot of fun memories together as a family!
On that trip we did our favorite thing, eat!  Here we are at the Cheescake factory! :)
I'm still sending treats in to teachers and coworkers once a week!  But I am not having a good streak of recipes.  They are OK but nothing I feel the need to record here and share!
Aaron announced last week that he was done wearing his dog ears, that he wore consecutively for seven months straight.  Sad that this phase is over but now I'm on the hunt for a shadow box to house them!
Lately I've been using StitchFix to add some flavor to my mom wardrobe.  It's hard and overwhelming for me to try new things and StitchFix is a service that hooks you up with a stylist that chooses a few pieces they think you would like based on your profile.  The best part is that if you don't like them, you send them back!  If you'd like to give it a try, leave me your email in the comments and I'll send you a referral! :)
I'm a little behind on my #lbf40in40 but I got way ahead to begin with, once we are a little more healthy, we will get back into it.  Here Doug is sharing the craft of alphabetizing spices!

I've been keeping very busy with keepsake hohos!  Want to order one?  You can email me at crystal@littlebitfunky.com and I will get you on the waiting list! :)
If you go to Trader Joe's you should feel obligated to buy me one (or five) of these.  I LOVE them!  We hit up the Trader Joe's on our trip to NC and I am SO SAD that I only bought ONE of these!
The boys still really enjoy doing the free Kids Build and Grow workshops at Lowe's!  You can find out when they are near you by googling!
Doug is golfing again!  And everyone is happy! :)
And bunnies, bunnies, bunnies! :)
I've been working on lots of bunny orders for Easter!  These guys are dressed in their finest Easter/Spring colors!

So there we are.  You are officially caught up on our life. :) Hang in there please, I'm sure we will get back into the swing of things soon!

Which part of NC is the LEGO fest in? Might be something to keep in mind to take my kids to one year, if it is close to the grandparents. I miss living in NC.
Oh, the dog ears. So cute. The shadow box will be great for them.

I'm so sorry to hear that 2014 has been so rough for you and your family. But I am happy to hear that you are staying positive. I would love a referral to the website that you are using. This Mommy could use a makeover.
XO, Kristen

P.S. My daughter still LOVES the hoho that you made for her. And it makes me smile every time I see it.
