Feelin' pretty {a Mary Kay Giveaway!}

I will openly admit I am not the girliest of girls. I don't fuss a lot with how I look. It took me 28 years to learn how to dry my hair in a way that beneficial to my hair, and I keep lip balm hidden through out the house.
Recently Mary Kay offered to send me a box of goodness to try out... I was game for something new. I was excited to get something just for me, something I probably wouldn't have gotten for myself...
Their packaging was fun; I felt like I was getting a gift just for me. The boys took one look at what was in the box and left me alone to enjoy what was in there. There was so much fun stuff in there... stuff I never would have indulged in on my own because let's face it, moms always come after everyone else's wants, right? Somehow items like this always keeps falling to the bottom of my list. I was excited.
The box was so full of so many pretty things... pretty colors to choose from to use to pamper myself, fun little compacts, mascara in pretty tubes, mirrors and lots of other happy, girly things.
There were even lots of pretty Mary Kay® NouriShine Plus™ Lip Gloss (in Mango Tango, Rock ‘n’ Red and CafĂ© Au Lait) I could add to my stash of hidden glosses all over the house. The bonus was lots of shades in colors I may not have been been brave enough to try on my own. I LOVED them all!
But my favorite, favorite, favorite thing by far was this little stash of goodies. I may not be the biggest girly girl, but I surely don't want to look old before my time. This little magic TimeWise® Microdermabrasion Set has already made a huge difference in my face... I LOVE it. The microderm step I keep in shower and have been using faithfully; it's made a big difference. The follow up Replenish step feels like silk going on... something to look forward to, as lame as that sounds.

Each and every product they sent felt like a treat for me. I loved it all and look forward to using it. I feel like I've been a little spoiled.

I bought a great face oil from Amazon - it was definitely a splurge but totally worth it!

How wonderful! This is so neat! Thank you for the opportunity. I don't buy much makeup, but the Mary Kay that I do have has always been lovely :)

I haven't splurged on myself in a long, long time :)

I took an extra long shower (washed hair and shaved legs!) on Saturday while my husband was watching the kids. Happily it doesn't take much to feel like I am pampering myself.

I am addicted to lia sophia jewelry, so I became an advisor, and can order jewelry (mega discounted!) whenever I feel the need to pamper myself.

The last time I spoiled myself was right before I had my youngest over 2 yrs ago. Now everything goes to them instead of treating myself to something good. Isn't that the way it usually works :). I got my hair cut at a really nice expensive salon, that I probably never would have stepped into if I wasn't in one of those zones. It will probably be the last and only time.

I have a sneaker obsession and last year for my birthday I splurged (with a coupon) on custom Converse. I got to pick each fabric choice on all of the sides and the laces and my name is even stitched on the shoes. I just love them.

I'm in Canada (sadly, not eligible!), but the last time I spoiled myself was... during the summer when I took a couple of hours each day to work on my book.

I haven't splurged on myself in so long I can't remember when I did it last. My kids and husband always come first. I have used a few Mary Kay products in the past and loved them, I'm not much on makeup but the stuff to ward off the looking old before I should....I'm all over that!!

Big splurge was a professional pedicure just before the summer season.

I am like you - I wash my face with gentle goat's milk soap and that's about it! I've heard many good things from friends and coworkers about Mary Kay over the years - would love to try it!

I think splurging on massages are a great idea! They're great for your body and mind, especially during the stressful holiday times!

I can't remember the last time I spoiled myself a little! Spoiling myself usually means a few hours without children in Jo-anns! I have been to a few Mary Kay parties in the last few months and I love love love their eye shadows and pretty much everything that goes with the eyes! This is a fun timed giveaway.

The greatest beauty tip I’ve learned is put on a moisturizing mask before putter on makeup. Your skin will absorb the foundation much better.

Pretty much the only thing I do for myself these days is paint my nails. (I do it myself--can't remember the last professional mani or pedi I've had!)

It's been a rough few years, so "spoiling myself" has been reduced to getting a little extra sleep or buying a new pair of socks.
