this will have to do {and help please}

Well last night I was full of good intentions.  I was all set to sit down after the boys went to bed and write up all of my posts for the week and respond to all my emails...I had them all ready to go in my head...and then we had the worst thunderstorm that I have ever witnessed in my life...there is rumor that it may have been part tornado...and I believe it.  It was wicked bad and this morning sounds of chainsaws and hammers are filling the air as people try to clean up the mess that it made.  There are huge branches and trees down everywhere...we are blessed that there is not much damage.

But it did freak me out enough to throw me off my game, shut down our electricity and internet...and we are heading out of town for a couple of this is all I can muster.

Above hoho is showing off his new Sour Patch kids shirt...custom made for the biggest stinker that I know...cause generally...first he is sour...then he is sweet.

And this is another fun new thing I am working on...this one will be available sometime next week...with more to come. :)

And I need your help...I often get the same kinds of questions in I've been thinking...why not put together a collaboration that we all work on...

Here are the three main topics:

Blogging Etiquette.
Advice for newly married.
a third topic that is currently eluding my cloudy brain at the moment.

And this is where you come in...on this post...please leave your tid bits for blogging etiquette...and then I will compile them in one big post.

I want to hear all of your do's and don't's...and you can leave them anonymously if that helps you.  When I compile the huge list I won't put any names to you can forward it along to all those people in your life that may or may not need to freshen up their bloggy etiquette.

Cause we all have those people in our lives right?

So sorry this is all I have to give you for a few still love me right? :) you...bye. :)

Great idea! Tell everyone to STOP TYPING EVERYTHING IN CAPS! It is really annoying. :)

Blog etiquitte

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

i'm VERY much an amateur blogger, but one of my DO's is: If you have something to say (nice things, of course), SAY IT! Even if it's short/cheesey, what harm has a little compliment ever done?

...and if you have something that's not nice, think twice (or 3 or 4 or 5 times) before saying it. Be sure it's absolutely necessary and it might be better to say it privately.

Sorry, I do not know anything about blogging I look forward to that post.
I was thinking for that third topic, if you do not have one. The fine balance of being a mommy, new or old and a crafter.

I'm not so much on bloggy etiquette. I do try to answer questions that people may have, but I don't feel pressure to go visit everyone that comments, because I don't have the time. I suppose I could make time, but this isn't a full-time job for me, just fun. One thing I will say, though, is I NEVER leave negative comments. Its just plain not nice. If I don't like what I just read, I will either not visit that particular blog or let it roll off.
Happy Friday to you!!

Don't post photos of someone else's child without their prior consent! And this DOES include your nieces and nephews thank you very much :) They'll probably say yes anyway, but always always always ask anyway.

Comments are really nice.

I like to know how people found my blog. I think it's quite lovely when they tell me.

When I comment regularly on other's blogs I kind of like to hear from them via e-mail or comment on my blog just once or once a year or *something*. It takes time to comment and it just feels like a nice little reciprocation and makes you feel like you're *somebody* in the great big bloggy world out there.

if you link to a party, please for heaven's sake make sure your post is super relevant to that party.

that's what jumps to mind right off. have fun on your trip!

here's another one: If you are a blogger please have a "search" feature on your blog. Preferably one powered by google and not one of those that pulls up the search results in it's own little box that's hard to navigate from.

this is a fun one, I would just love it if everyone who uses blogger would be able to include their email addresses in their profile. I love emailing people back and it's next to impossible when they don't have their email hooked up in their profile. I think it's one of those things you don't even realize until you've been blogging for a while, but it's nice when you can communicate with the commenters. :)

Please! Please! Please! Attach your email to your blogger profile. It is so much easier to answer questions that way. As well as to leave little thank you emails.
Also, auto start music puts me over the edge. I usually have my own music playing in iTunes or Pandora and hate the competing noise. It makes me not want to visit blogs with it.
