cheers and jeers.

cheers:
we finally gave Moses a haircut.
what a cutie.
jeers:
it makes him look older. :(
and he wouldn't cooperate with a styled do, so a buzz cut it was.
cheers:
Aaron has decided that he wants to feed himself!
and he does pretty well at it.
jeers:
he is going to be ONE in less than a month.
how did that happen!?
cheers:
Starbucks has cute new cupcakes.
jeers:
they taste like crap.
the frosting tastes like a stick of butter sprinkled
with powdered sugar and the cake has the taste of freezer.
that goes for all of the flavors...yes we tried them all.
boo on you Starbucks...I expect better.
cheers:
new white curtains makes it feel less like winter grey inside.
jeers:
it is only January. :(
I miss you spring.
cheers:
a cute new product.
a simple bag with a loop to hang over a door knob...or stroller handle...or in the car.
I see them being perfect for stashing a couple of diapers and wipes...holding trash in the car...collecting doo-dads at a child's bedroom door...so much more.
jeers:
I don't know what to call them.
I don't know if anyone else would think they are awesome.

cheers:
I cleaned my sewing machine out.
I also learned, via that crazy thing called a manual, that it has an automatic needle threader that is WAY cool and easy to use.
jeers:
this is what it looked like inside.
that is where my bobbin goes.
that is lint/dust/fuzz.
it was thicker than FELT!!!
it was gross and fascinating all at the same time.

cheers!
xo

Lol! Laughing at the inside of your machine, remembering the first time I cleaned mine after I really started sewing a lot.

I think the bags are really awesome. Great idea.

Love the white curtain and blue wall.

A friend of mine managed a Starbucks for years. She said they got their baked goods from COSTCO. Seriously!

Oh my gosh! I have never seen so much build up in a sewing machine! That wasn't pulling through with your bobbin' thread? That's the only way i remember to dust mine! I find that completely fascinating as well! :)

I think you new bag is AWESOME! And functional, as well!

How funny - Did you find any birds hiding out in the bottom of your sewing machine.

I hope mine looks that way one day!!

...

Must sew more

Love the bags too.

Bummer about the cupcakes - I remember when I was pregnant I ate the Starbucks choc chip muffins ALL the time and they were delish...

Can't believe Aaron is almost one - I remember when you first posted you were pregnant.

Love your blog :)

I LOVE that bag! Want to send me one to review and I'll put it all over Peanut Butter and Pickles and the rest of the blog world? :-)

It looks like your machine ate a sweater when you weren't looking! Ha! My machine does that on occasion...Hmmm, I wonder if MINE has an automatic needle threader and I wonder where MY manual is? :-)

Beth said...

love the bag! NEED to clean my sewing machine, too! yuck!

Shocked and awed by the inside of your machine... truly fascinating :)

How about the "Cutie Catch-All" ;)

Have a beautiful day!

i love the bag. i love the fabric even more. but i'd totally use one. keep my keys by the back door...
ok, i'm so fascinated by that lint trap. do you mean to tell me that all that time your sewing machine was still working with that stuff in there? amazing. my machine starts misbehaving if i sew more than one project on it without cleaning it out.

Hi Crystal! Love your blog, it's part of my routine every morning with my coffee. You are one COOL chick!

I crown the do-dad Mr. "Door Knob Pocket Organizer"! I love anything that hangs and that will let me throw stuff into it! I have TWO (small)in my car. One for the cell and one for pens, gum etc. Love them!

ps. the cupcakes at SB are crap! Really, the best cupcake is homemade! nothing beats that!

pss. my dog just tooted. peeeeeewwwww!

My little man is almost 2, and I don't think he'll ever get enough hair for us to cut. But I secretly love it because it makes him look like a baby still!! And I totally agree about the cupcakes. We tried them over the weekend at our starbucks and they were terrible!

Totally lovin the new do dad bag!
I can think of so many uses for it.

Gosh you could make a sweater out of that sewing machine lint..lol

Kandi said...

Wow that's a crazy amount of lint in the sewing machine! I've never seen that much a once.

Great post, by the way. I love all the cheers & jeers. Almost 1, that's just nuts. Time just flys!!

I'm glad the Starbucks cupcakes are awful. I've been eyeing them and it has been hard to resist. Now it will be easier!

I got a few similar car trash bags from allysonhill on Etsy and LOVE them. I'm sure people would your those bags. Even for sewing I like a little bucket or bag like that to throw threads and other small clippings into.

The sewing machine... how was that thing still working? If mine gets a fraction of that much gunk, it starts malfunctioning. But, yeah, I find the mess fascinating too and I even enjoy cleaning it out more!

Cutie kids!

I love the "Bag" it is awesome. The moment I saw it I thought of three different things I could do with it. Well done!
Thanks for the heads up on the Starbucks cupcakes, I won't waste my time and $.

So sad about those cupcakes. That's just not good. I think you should call your cute little bag a "Hiuca" bag. Pronounced: Hi-You-Kuh

Why? 'Cause it's a Hang-It-Up & Carry All bag!!! Heee! That makes me happy!

Love the bag. Use the fuzz for fire starter. :)

thank you for trying the starbucks cupcakes for me! The very fact that of their cupcakeness was calling my name the other night but I didn't get them out of fear of being disappointed which has happened one too many times with starbucks baked goods. Now I know.

As soon as I saw your new little bag I thought of a trash bag for the car. I will admit that the plain black one I have isn't NEARLY as cute but I do like that it has elastic and just a little hole at the top and the bottom rolls up and velcros so that you can just unroll and dump over a trash can at the gas station or whatever without having to fish the trash out of there. Just some thoughts. :) Kelly
