a debate.

There is a small debate in my house. It's small to me because either way I will do what I want. :)
My husband thinks these cute little baby leggings are just for girls.
I say that baby boys can wear them too.
And look darn cute in them.
Doug thinks it makes him look ready for Jazzercize.
I love to see his little sausage legs in them.
Especially this part right here.
So what do you think? Please chime in on our domestic squabble. Are these cute leggings made just for girls? Or can Aaron wear them proudly? I'll still love you if you disagree with me. And I will still do what I want.

I LOVE these little leggings and think they are soooo cute, but I think I lean towards the notion that they are a little on the girlie side. I have been debating on whether or not put put them on my little man, and I keep going back to the thought that they are a little girlie. His little legs do look soooo cute in them, though, and I love his little feet hanging out.

I agree with Doug. Still love me? :)

As long as they're not pink or floral, I think it's perfectly fine. Boys get cold legs, too!

I'm loving the boy colors...now if they were a pastel green maybe not! I plan on buying "boy" colors when/if we have another baby (read boy). Until then I'll drool at baby Aaron's leggs!!!

Here's my thoughts. :) When I first saw a pic of Aaron wearing them, I was surprised, because I too, thought they were just for girls. But after i saw the pic, I though, wow, she pulled it off. :) So though I agreed with Doug completely, after seeing them on baby Aaron, I thought, well, maybe boys can wear them too. Of course, it might be becuase Aaron would be adorable in a potato sack, lol.

I love those little leggings! Specially the black and white striped ones! So cute! Press on with the leggings! :)

I think they are for both boys and girls. It depends on the colors I wouldn't put pastels on a boy. I think these green ones look great on him.

I think they are boy. As the mother of both genders, I bought stuff for my first boy that I thought could go girl if put with ruffle socks or cute hair bows or something and it still always ended up looking boy to me. I can't imagine anything you could put with these that would make them "girl". Could you see them under a white knit dress from Old Navy? No. Too bright and *green*.

Is it the baby legs he doesn't like? Or the green baby legs specifically?

I'm sorry to agree with your hubby, but I think they are very girly and are for girls only. Babies can pull it off, but I wouldn't put them on my toddler aged son like I do on my daughters. He looks adorable in it though.

Baby leggings aren't a fad down here in the south... I've never seen a baby in them!(in fact, nobody wears them... too hot!) So it's completely lost on me! I'll use the general rule that baby boys only get to wear things that could potentially be considered girly for a short time... so go crazy with the leggings before he gets too big!

I say they can be either. He is rocking them!! P.S. I LOVE this green!!

like lace said, they are not trendy in the south, but my little boy wore smocking and bubbles, so i think babies can do anything for a limited amount of time. plus, you are doing bold colors and i think they look precious ;) i especially like the black and white stripes, and i especially like your attitude! he's your baby, do what you want. he has all the time in the world to be dressed like a big boy!

You know I wasn't sure about this at first either. But they are just SO cute that I caved. I just make sure they are boyish. I get so many comments when he wears them too. It's awesome :)

I'm not sure, but I would go with girly since some people think so and Doug thinks so. I also add: I am a very frugal person, and when my son was a toddler, I found a couple of PINK winter fleece sleepers that were his size and were a steal, pricewise, so I bought them knowing they were to be worn just in the house. I would not have taken him out in public in them. Turns out we had the camera out one night (pre-digital) and took some pics of him when he had that sleeper on and those turned out to be the cutest pictures ever!

i heart baby-legs. they make diaper changes sooo easy, but still keeps the bambino warm. would he think that skull and cross bone ones are more manly? because they have 'em.

This just cracked me up. The funny part about how you wanted everyones opinions but you will do what you want in the end..lol..I like that!!! I have to say when I think of boys i dont think of leggings. I think they are completely for girls and Agree with hubby. You have an awesome husband so if this really bothers him ....let him have his way :)
Love your blog to pieces and Ithink you must be one of the most creative women I know. I also love that you arent afraid to put your christian beliefs on here. Your awesome!!!

Hmmm... I think they are fine for a baby boy. It's not like you put him in a dress. LOL Your hubby will get over it. And warmer weather is just about here to stay anyway...no need for the leggings then.

He'd be a little cutie in anything :)

Well, they sure make me laugh. Seeing photo 6 and 7 makes me wonder if they are comfortable?!

I think infants of either gender can pull off the Legs! If I had a boy, I would put them on him but would just make sure the color/design is unmistakably "boyish" and that his onesie is also masculine looking. You have been doing that all along, so I say keep it up girl!

And is it just me or is Aaron really starting to look like Moses?

I think they look awesome on Aaron! I have a daughter who just started crawling and we have 6 pairs of babylegs to keep her from getting rug burned knees, they are great and I don't think boys should have to have scuffed knees b/c some people think they look girly. Plus they make a lot of designs that wouldn't work well for girls.

Boys can SO wear these...atleast they the little guy at our house will (he will be here in September) so tell Doug not to talk to my husband and put any ideas in his head. :) I think they are cute on ANY legs!
