our sweet set-up...

This is where the littlest one sleeps for the time being...normally I probably wouldn't bother sharing this but that little bassinet is special...
This bassinet has been through at least 27 babies in Doug's family...starting with Doug's dad...or at least his sister...I'm not positive. Regardless, it is special to use something for my little one that has so much meaning and sentimental value. :) Aaron just loves it. :)
And just in case you were wondering about why we named him Aaron Howard...Aaron is obvious, I hope...brother to Moses...we wanted to set-up a foundation for a great friendship and special bond between our two boys. Howard...well that is Doug's middle name, and Doug's dad's middle name and Doug's grandpas name as well...even his initials have special meaning AHJ. :)

We feel that a name says a lot about a person...especially a boy...who will be a man one day. We wanted both of our boys to have good solid names to live up to...something that makes a statement. :)

So there is that. :) I finally started getting those things in the shop that I promised yesterday. :)

Hope your Tuesday is great!!

xoxo

p.s. I am currently searching for the perfect zip up gray hoodie...I want it to be fitted and long in the torso...if you have any ideas where I can find such a thing...send them my way please. :)

My son, Brady, slept in the bassinet that I slept in when I was a baby. :) It had once been sold or given away, but it found it's way back into our lives. It was pretty amazing and special. So I totally understand.

And I wanted his name to mean something as well. Brady is Irish/Gaelic and it means, "spirited" or "broad". And he has come to live up to the meaning, "spirited". I believe him to have been spirited by the grace of God. :) And his middle name is Nathaniel, which means "gift of God". And he most certainly is THE greatest gift. :)

Thanks for sharing!!

Sweet pictures! You should try Old Navy for the hoodie. Normally, I get hoodies and they are too short in the torso, but Old Navy's are absolutely perfect, and they aren't too pricey, either.

I love the story of the names for your sweet little boys! I love biblical names!

I think try shops that specialize in YOGA attire. It is usually longer in the torso for stretching, and most times has a zipper.

what a sweet story! and something you will treasure forever. i feel the same way about names, especially biblical. to me, the story comes with the name and you want your child to have a positive model to refer too when they grasp the understanding that names have a meaning. as for the hoodie, old navy has one like you are describing and target has a great one too, right now!

When my youngest was born, she was just shy of 6 lbs and we actually let her sleep in a doll cradle my father-in-law made for my older daughters dolls! It was crazy, but perfect, because then we could keep the pack in play downstairs and have the cradle upstairs. Sweet memories!
