I get mildly depressed whenever I come to your blog and hear "so long sweet summer." It makes me want to go back to bed and curl up under the covers until April.

Anyway, my friend Maria makes amazing cupcakes and my favorite are the chocolate ones with cream cheese filling.

So hers are my favorite. But she bakes without a recipe, so I'm out of luck there.

I love mocha chocolate cake with mocha frosting!! I made this recipe myself. All you do is make a normal chocolate cake but you put two table spoons of hot instant coffee with water in your mix and you do the same for icing!! Yummy!

I love these! My mother in law made a diaper cake for my baby shower and it was a huge hit! My real fav. cake is Coconut. I will give you my recipe :)
Buy a box of moist white cake mix (betty crocker), a bottle of coconut extract, coconut shavings, and white whipped icing (betty crocker) Make the cake mix as described on the back. Then add in 1 1/2 tsp. coconut extract to batter and mix for just a few seconds. Bake as the box says, wait for the cakes to cool ( I used to round pans) Use the whippy icing and put a thin coat on the layer that will be the middle, then add the top layer and ice the whole thing. After that is finished sprinkle/pat the cake with the coconut shavings... and there you have it... super simple easy and DELICIOUS!!!

Those party favor boxes are so cute! I have been looking at them for quite awhile now in her shop, and thinking what great gifts they would be for some parties I am having this holiday season.

I love pretty much all cakes, but I think my favorite would have to be German chocolate with a lot of gooey, nutty, caramely, coconutty frosting!

My favorite is the banana split cake-white cake mix prepared according to box and then let it cool. When cool, apply the second layer which consists of 2 8 oz tubs of philly cream cheese softened, mixed with 2 vanilla pudding mixes and 3 cups of cold milk. Mix until smooth and most lumps are out-then apply on the cake. The third layer is 1 large can of Dole shredded pineapple (drained) and then the fourth layer is cut up ripe bananas. Top all of it with Cool Whip and then add some maraschino cherries and walnuts, refrigerate for a couple of hours and serve-yummy! (cake must be kept in fridge if you don't eat it all!)
