So...

I had a totally inspired post all ready to go...in fact I was just sitting down to write it when I got an anonymous comment on the prayer request post. It was ugly and hateful and now I am too upset to feel all warm and fuzzy about what I wanted to write about. This is NOT a place to spit your political agenda. I have freely shared my beliefs both spiritual and political and have NEVER resorted to name calling. I expect the same treatment in return.

Isn't it just like the enemy to take something that you are feeling so good about and try to make it ugly?

I am overcome with humbleness by those of you who choose to share your heart and your prayer requests with me and I promise to take each and every one to heart and lay them at the feet of Jesus. Thank you to all who have shared...I really look forward to hearing about answered prayers and sharing the journey with you!

I'm going to distract myself for a while.

This makes me so sad. Please know that your amazing honesty is what makes people WANT to read, and share this blog with you! Don't stop sharing, and please don't let the hateful words of one person stop you from being the amazing person that you are!!! I am so sorry.

I'm sorry someone put that in your comments. You have never said anything political in your blog, so whoever choose to say that is just silly. Besides, it doesn't matter what side you are on, you are still Crystal. Boo on them for ruining your blogging fun! I hope you can reclaim your day and make some fun things if time permits!

Well, I just had to comment on this one. I have just commented once before. But I basically stalk your blog and your shop...I LOVE your style and think you are cool. I also think it's cool that you love Jesus. He is so good. I'm so sorry about the ugly comment.

I've been reflecting on your post about leaving prayer requests and think it is a wonderful idea. The message at my church Sunday matched your mindset. The world often thinks Christians are ok, as long as we remain "manageable" (quiet, reserved). I applaud your thoughtful and bold suggestion! I will gladly join in your movement of prayer.

Just like Sara I am also basically a slight stalker after only commenting once or twice(I know I'm sorry) but this absolutely warrants a comment. Your prayer idea is absoluteley awesome and I absolutely lifted up your back issues to our amazing and loving God yesterday.
Just remember it is this kind of thing that is designed to discourage us from talking to our heavenly Father, diligence in seeking him, nurturing a relationship with him and thinking of others first (ie. prayer!) is one of works that brings him most joy so keep at it!
Your idea was humble and brave, thank you so much for being bold enough to share what you had envisioned and so many of us will no doubt be affected by your prayers to such a great extent that you will never doubt whether it was the right thing to do. God loves to see how much you care about brothers and sisters (both christian and 'wordly' if that makes sense) to do this and he is so pleased! Go you!

I'm sorry about my comment earlier. I did it because I was feeling mean and I took it out on you. I don't even know you. It was wrong and I'm sorry.

You listen here my friend, I want you to have a post your prayer request, I and other's need that and I'm so glad you did it! Please don't let us ( Me) down, the person who left the comment must be very unhappy and want's us to be too! they will have to answer to the Lord someday for that! We all love you and don't want you to be sad, I will keep you in my prayers! Thank you so much for everything you do for us gals, and I know we all feel that way. Lanny.

Giving that sort of attention to someone who leaves a hateful comment is exactly what they want. You are only playing into their hands. Delete nasty comments and move on - by getting so upset about them (and posting about them!) you are just inviting them to keep it up.

yuck! regardless of ones beliefs having someone pray for you is a genuine act of kindness. i'm not religous however i am very spiritual...a prayer from you would be a welcomed gift and anyone who thinks otherwise ate a rotten bowl of cherrios for breakfast. you are sweet and your blog is sweet...keep being sweet and don't for a second let mr/ms. anonymous get the best of you. big hugs (())

wow. i just read your post and all the comments....i think a blog is a place for conversation and not for unkind comments...this election year is brewing some crazy things in people..i have experienced that first hand...your blog is a bright spot in my day and i love the prayer request idea...just can't pick one right now. too many...:) if that anonymous reader read your blog faithfully, they would know what an amazing woman of faith you are and how giving you are....if that person is reading this, i would encourage them to read. crystal is a wildly creative artist and a faithful friend....you won't find a more honest and authentic girl around.

I thought your idea for prayer requests was perfect. I prayed for them as I read them as I am sure others did. Please be encouraged to continue with the idea, "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Rom 12:12
