This may be my nerdiest post yet.

Apparently I have a jar problem. I never noticed until my husband pointed it out to me a while ago. Thanks honey. Since he mentioned it I am finding them all over the house. The ones in the photo above and the next couple of photos don't live there but were temporarily relocated for photo sake. :)
Look April...there are my buttons, then my sharpies, then Doug's bouncy ball collection, then all the empty thread spools I have used up so far.
There are dum dums for package thank-yous, ribbon (of course), clips and flowers. On top of the last two is a jar of faux cherries. I want more of those but can't find them...
Oh, look. Moses' oatmeal in a jar!
What household doesn't have one of these?...
A jar for all the random metal do-dads that somehow multiply.
And here we have a box of jars, some super old, that have yet to make it out of the box from when we moved...
Jars in the kitchen for cookie cutters, sugar and flour. :) It's nice having big jars for the holidays...less trips to stock up!
And finally...jars for all my shells...from every beach I have ever been to. :)

And as I type this I am remembering at least four more jars that I forgot to photograph...oops.
Having this many of something isn't a problem if they look this cute right?

Do YOU have a collection of something? Let me see!

that was cute! I love jars as well... above my refrigerator I am taking the doors off the cabinet so I can display all y jars of cooking stuff. I have no counterspace soooo, that is my only alternative!

My kitchen is done up in cherries and I have some of the fake ones in a jar like you have. I have cherries all over my kitchen. I found mine at Peir One and Target.

You are too funny! Don't worry though...we all have obsessions!! I have my fair share of jars in my crafting area...big, small, square, round...you name it, I probably have it! Lots of them are just behind a closed door!!

And I am glad to hear that you touch up your paint too and I am not the only one out there that carries around my paint can and brush looking for little (and sometimes big!!) scuff marks all over the place!! Although they are sweet reminders that my kids once played right there, I like to clean them up on a regular basis!!

Hope you are having a happy day!

LOVE the jars!!! I have just started a jar collection but some of mine have designs on them...I like your completely clear ones best and may have to go ALL completely clear. How fun to see things thru it...buttons, shells, food, candy, even hardware..lol
Very cool. I had started one collecion but it was too pricey and growing TOO slowly. I think now my new collection will be jars and recently I have started a collecion of plates (I like to eat off them and use them for the wall)
LOVE YOUR BLOG

I love jars and am envious you have so many! I posted my "collection" of wrought iron stuff over at my blog: http://sunnypondhome.blogspot.com/2008/07/my-collection.html

I will get back to you later on the etsy convo, have to think more about size.

I love your jar collection! They make everything look so organized. And, unlike baskets (I'm a recovering baskaholic) you can actually SEE what's in there!

loving this crystal.
i think i will put my flour and sugar in my jars.
they have been in big canisters from our wedding (and that's probably the last time i washed them) and now i am just plain sick of them.
my jars would be better.
i think maybe you should keep them all together - so colorful and fun!
you have to see this....

Well I actually LOVE the jars, even if you have lots!!!! I do the same thing, but isn't it nice to have all our little things housed in jars and have a home?! Better than not being able to find things, I think!!! xoxox!

i thought of you today at wal-mart...
i found cute throw pillows with white piping on clearance for $4. you could make all kinds of cute stuff on them.
go to your wal-mar t and find their clearance rows.
that's where ours were.
good luck.

OMG! But they are a beautiful way to store things - especially the way you had them grouped on your window sill.

your jar collection isn't nearly as bad as your bird collection. There are 126 in the first floor of our house alone.
