Failure and Good Things.

First I must confess that I have failed in my campaign to ignore. I went to close that account out and there was a third email (yes 3 in 12 hours or so--the pattern). I read it and responded. I am such a dummy. Guilt tried to eat away at me for the rest of the day...not for the words that I said because they were not horrible words but the fact that I said them in the first place. And then on the drive to a playground last night a comment, from Trish I think it was, came into my head...not to give the enemy a foothold. And I realized that that was what I was doing. The enemy wants me to feel stupid and guilty. I immediately prayed against it...asked for forgiveness for failing and prayed for the yucky person in my life (thanks Meg, I needed that reminder). As I prayed, bits and pieces of so many of the comments that I received popped into my head and fit together to help me make sense of it all...And then I came home to an email from another wonderful friend, reminding me to focus on the good in my life...which is SO so so abundant. With that I started fresh. The account is closed so they have no way of contacting me...and I really am removing them from my life. I can tell a change already...I feel a freedom that I haven't had in a long while. I share my failure with you as a form of accountability. You would never know otherwise but I would and I have that darned drive to be authentic. So here I am...starting over...again. :) Hope you can love me anyway! And with that I am officially SICK of talking about it...no more of that!
In an effort for ALL of us to focus on the good in our lives...here is a fun game for us...make a post on your blog in the next 24hours or so then come back and link here...in that post I want to see some of the good things in YOUR life!

Good for you! I truly believe that sometimes we need to know when to just walk away. All God expects of you is to do what you know to do, to make things right. I once heard Jan Silvious say some people are all about drama, and I am realizing that with people in my own life, they seem to thrive on drama, and that is not what God has called us to. We are to be encouraging and building one another up.

you certainly do look like you have a great life. Getting rid of that account was a great move, praying to God that he would help you with this was an even BETTER move and onward you go. Its not important at all to know anymore about this yucky person but Im perplexed at what they would not like about you...you seem to have such a great head on your shoulders. Your a great mom, Love the Lord, great hubby, intelligent, sweet, VERY warm, list goes on.
Have a great day!!!!

When I wrote a comment the other night,it posted as Class 242 (that is my church blog). You're doing great! It's so hard to resist the temptation to "fix" things. You see just one more email and you think......maybe this will make the difference. I understand the wishful thinking. With my person, there were several "last" conversations and emails. When I decided to just ignore everything, I felt so weak like I wasn't doing anything to defend myself or get through to that person. It was tempting to just "fire back." BUT....after time it has been the best thing I could have done to just ignore. I'm glad to hear that you feel good about it today. You are on your way!

I'm going to post on my blog and then link to you! FUN!

I'm lovin' this challenge! We all need to STOP and look around for the GOOD things in our lives! Sometimes we're just going through life so fast and wishing for tomorrow to come so often that we forget to just STOP and take in what's going on right now. LOVE YOUR BLOG!

thanks for the reminder to focus on the good! it can be so easy for us as moms to see all that is difficult in our days and let that override everything. but the good is so much more energizing than focusing on the bad. thanks. found your blog through joy's hope!
