How to cut a toddlers hair...

First. Do not attempt alone. At least two adults are required. :) My husband held Moses the entire time, despite back breaking aches. Last time we sat Moses in the high chair but for some reason he was not having it this time.
Second. Insert lollipop. Moses NEVER gets candy so this is indeed a very special treat. The one photo with the close up is basically how he stayed the whole time, virtually still and cooperative. Occasionally Doug would switch arms and take the lollipop out so Moses could catch his breath. Note drool all down the front of Doug(from Moses not Doug). Also shown is a shot of the floor. Those wet circles are the pools of slobber that Moses would drop each time Doug would remove the lollipop from Moses mouth. All in all it was a good haircut. I can't believe how many of them he has had since birth. Everyone tried to convince me that all his hair would fall out but I knew better.

Here is a before and after from his first hair cut at 6 months.

Dang, what a sexy shirt that man has on. What is that slightly acid washed Denim? How LUXURIOUS. I can't help but stumble at that sight. Ooh, and what a double chin! My heart is racing like a mouse's on PCP. That man has definitely brought sexy straight back!

looks good! i am afraid to say i do most of my son's cutting while he is brushing his teeth. he seems preoccupied by the task at hand, and pays me little attention. i guess this is why it takes a couple attempts to getting it stylish!! he is adorable!~karen

Thank you honey (AKA Doug) for your lovely comment. :)

karen-I never thought of teeth brushing time. I don't that would give me nearly enough time even though i do use clippers. :)

my son won't let me use clippers! he is deeply afraid of them, so i have to use salon scissors. i guess that is why it takes a couple days to get it right! it is easier with my daughter. she is 3, so she is far more cooperative. i never thought of a sucker, though. that is a good idea! ~karen

karen...for weeks before we cute moses hair with the clippers for the first time we showed him the clippers and kept them off until he got used to them, then every once in a while we would just turn them on so he could hear them...just kept doing that until he seemed comfortable with them.

Carolyn...gotta love your brother eh? You dad sent him that HOT shirt. :)
